Have you seen the Question asked by Jonathan Ross, the TV presenter?
He asked..
"If mankind wipes itself out, what species will become the dominant life form, and why?

My answer was:
"4 poofs and a piano will walk the earth and colonize the continents with the mutant spawn of You, Jonathan."

I thought this brand of humor would have been up his street.
It was removed without reason.
Question: was this fair??

For those that don't know...
"4 poofs and a piano " is the name of his own house band on his chat show.

I like your humour good luck in hearing from JR but don't hold your breath...no it was'nt fair I can't see what is wrong with your answer it's funny. But i don't even think JR will look at the answers anyway, I think highly paid minions will sit all day and read em how can they pick a best answer out of 938(last time I looked).

yeah it really is a stupid reason. that is not any longer Yahoo solutions. what percentage workers ought to they prefer to examine each and every of the violation notices and then pass in and browse the questions or solutions to make certain if that is a contravention? that is probable very few human being without existence who likes to record human beings for thrilling and some computerized equipment at Yahoo deletes and sends an computerized e-mail. i have stumbled on that a good type of my questions were deleted for no reason too. They weren't even controversial or some thing. a good type of my questions at present were asking which motels are good in diverse factors of the country. that is stupid and problematical notwithstanding that is the cost of being waiting to get basically about any question replied on right here i wager. once you're waiting to pay it :-)

Course not. Who says it was meant to be a fair contest in the first place?

Besides, I think the mods have to go about discreetly deleting anything that they think might be considered rude and offensive to Mr Ross (typical, deleting these offending posts without a hint of rancour, such as answers asking Jonathan if he'll be so kind as to pronounce "rancour" for us), so that's why I'm a non-participant. I just sit back and watch the major league kissage of celeb glutes from a distance.

I think somebody (non-UK) does not understand the 4 poofs and a piano reference, and being as Yahoo! is primarily overseen by US moderators who obviously are not familiar with JR's show or his house band it was bound to happen. You'd think they'd at least do minimal research into the people they invite to ask questions tho' so this sort of thing doesn't happen.

Not really. If you look around at some of these other answers that people put on here, they are just as bad or worse. If Yahoo! is gonna get picky with whats offensive or threatening and whos responses they remove, they might as well remove all the questions that are just plain ridiculous. But who am I to tell them what to do.....

Jonathan Wosses question violates the rules because it has been asked before.

i.e.
# After we're gone, what will take over the earth? - from pub_bore - 24 answer(s)
# If all humans were gone tomorrow, what would be the dominant species? - from THE ONE - 53 answer(s)

I have to admit there is SOME doubt about it - were you inferring that Jonathan was a poof or a piano?
On balance, I guess they thought you meant the latter, so I guess the violation was warranted.

Hardly fair. Some quick research would have shown that your comment wasn't offensive, rather it was humorous.

Censorship should *only* be used after thorough research. Even then it should be rarely employed. JMHO.

I think had Jonathan Ross read that himself he would have found it very funny, that is just his sense of humour. I think Y!A are just getting overexcited again.
