i got a 1984 honda atc 100 or 110 and it throttles really high and i ajusted the trottle and it wont go down?

i even moved the needle down and it still throttles high i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it

try using some fine Emory cloth in the carb barrel and see if that cleans it up ,spray it with a little wd40 that might help, and check the return spring and the throttle cable to make sure it's backed off all the way

-Make sure the throttle slide is returning all the way. Remove the carb to air box manifold and look. Make sure it isn't hanging up.
-Check to make sure choke is working properly. Could be in the on position, or the spring is damadged allowing it to flap around.
-Remove the float bowl - any parts missing? Main jet, jet needle holder (long tube between slide and main jet), jet needle guide.
-Check the points and timing - the advancer might be stuck.

all the needle does is adjust the fuel mixture to make it leaner or richer. if you tried to adjust the idle screw, and got no results, you may have a clogged primary jet, or clogged idle screw. take off the carb, disassemble it completely, and soak it in carb cleaner. use a pin or needle to unclog the debris out of the jets, and make sure to pay attention to the floats, and slider tube.
also when doing all this, try to lube up your throttle cable, it will help with throttle response.

Try adjusting the idle screw on the carberator and check teh throttle setting on the throttle cable.

it is the pilot jet adjustment not the needle height.
there is normally a screw at an angle near the bottom of the carb body. anticlockwise should reduce your tickover speed. (Oh, the screw often has a little spring around it)

Try turning the idle screw down on the carburetor. Be sure to do it while the bike is warm and running.

sounds like something is cloged.you should go through it carefully and check things that could be cloged. injectors?
carbarator?
