Voip - Voice over internet protocol is the means to do it.

There are various suppliers but I personally prefer Skype.

You will need either a microphone & speakers or the easy way is to get a skype USB phone. (Mine was about £15.00)

You can call free skype to skype (in other words to anyone who has skype downloaded to their machine.) You can also leave a voice message (and receive voice messages) if offline.

There is also SkypeOut which is a service you pay for. You can make very cheap calls to landlines almost anywhere in the world. (rates vary for different zones)

Go to http://www.skype.com for full details and free download of the skype software.

When you get it skype me at first4training :)

If you're talking pc to pc, just use yahoo messenger or netmeeting, or msn/windows live messenger.
