I always think this when I see people hauling stuff on them and smoking - yet you never hear of one catching on fire.

Its because of the new flame retardant breed.

Hey, they're outside - maybe it's something in the air that makes them non-flammable. They also have a pretty thick coat, so maybe just the outer layer gets a bit singed and goes out before they go up in flames. Takes a lot of hot ash to make hair catch fire.
