Bully doesn't know what he is talking about.

There can be variations on when you ovulate. If you are not doing something to track your ovulation (through hormones or temperature tracking) you can never actually be certain when you have ovulated, meaning that there is never a safe time for unprotected sex, assuming you do not want to be pregnant. Generally if you KNOW you have ovulated, unprotected sex is safer about five days later, but you have to really know, not just guess. While is is typical for ovulation to occur about midway in your menstrual cycle (10-16 days after your period), there is no guarantee that this will happen during any given month. Clearly you ovulated on the later side in this particular month. The link below discusses the variability of a woman's "fertile period".

You can get pregnant on any day of the month, even during flow days.

You are more likely to get pregnant around the time of ovulation, (between 12 and 20 days after the last flow day) than on other days, and less likely to get pregnant during the week or so before and after the time of your flow. Less, not more likely, contrary to what one other person answered.

But it's kind of like throwing a hand grenade. "Likely" doesn't matter if it happens. And it can happen on any day of the month.
