The term googol was coined by the nine year old nephew (Milton Sirotta) of the mathematician Edward Krasner when he was looking for a way to express 10 to the power 100. Krasner himself coined the term googolplex which is 10 to the power 10 to the power 100.

do you mean the word 'google' or google as a company?

Its a massive number.....1 followed by 100 zeros. A googolplex is even larger.... basically 1 followed by googol zeros..... OMG its enormous....
