Bloody heck--I think it is really a shame. He inspired many with his excitement and love of nature and the environment. I feel the worst for his wife and child. They really lost something. And from looking at behind the scenes documentaries of his movie making and stuff, it looked like he had a very good relationship with his daugher (son not born yet.) What a huge loss for the family.
We all know he pushed the envelope as far as animal safety went. I think some people will see him as being arrogantly unsafe, but it was part of the appeal and a part of his personality. I don't fault him for it, as I would not fault a NASCAR driver for being blown up in a crash. Sometimes crap like that happens when you are really hands-on like he was.
I remember seeing one of those video disaster series, and a woman was speared by a swordfish in the boat. A breast implant saved her. Fish are unpredictable as hell. If the barb had not punctured his heart, he would have probably survived. It was an unfortunate hit.
On a philosophical note, if kharma is at work, it makes no sense at all. He loved animals. From that standpoint, it makes no sense.

finally, it's going to be released. i do belive, regardless of the reality that it is dying, Irwin created lots for the known public to develop into in love along with his kinfolk and morals. Now each and every thing has a beginning, and an end. Unfortunatly this has a tragic ending, that no person interior the known public would be responsive to approximately for an extremely long term. i think of the least his kinfolk can do for the known public , is to launch it, so we are able to all GREIVE at the same time. i be responsive to that not ONE guy or woman might laugh or criticize it.

OMG!!! I am soooo sad he died. He had one of the greatest shows on Animal Planet. He wasn't messing with the stingray, he was just in it's space when he was diving in the shallow part of an ocean. It was a one in a million chance that he died from a stingray.

He wasn't playing with a stingray. It was buried and when he swam above it it felt threathened and attacked. It was very sad. He didn't deserve to die because because he flirted with danger. He brought into our homes animals and reptiles we would never have seen otherwise. He will be missed.

I am saddened by this. He was a great family man and a lover of nature and animals. Death is a reality at anytime for everybody.
Walking across the street, falling out of bed, eating dinner...when its your time its your time.
Its just ashame to lose such a good man.

I loved watching his show and will miss him a lot. Imagine after doing so many episodes where he faced danger he would go out this way--but if he had been stung anywhere else but the heart then likely he would have lived. My sympathies to his family.

Of course I don't feel it NEEDED to happen. That's awful to say about such a good person. Did you watch his shows? If you did, you supported what he did. I feel bad for the wife and children he left behind too.
