Is this a doppler monitor? Do you put gel on your belly to hear it or is it just a giant stethescope?
I rented a doppler unit for my pregnancy and found his heartbeat at around 11 weeks with it.

At 11 wks it is hard to find the heart beat by yourself, your fine, just wait until you go to the doc. again and they can help you find a good spot you can use for when you go home and you want to listen to it at anytime you want. Plus those things dont always work.

Those dont work. I bought one when I was 12 weeks... I returned it to the store! Trust me... if you arent bleeding, your baby is fine! I heard NOTHING when I used mine.
...now I am 30 weeks pregnant with a baby girl with a nice strong heartbeat.

I had one of those monitors, and i couldn't hear my son's heartbeat until I was 9 months! They aren't as sensitive as the ones in the doctor's office. Don't worry! :-)

Honey at 11 weeks even the doctors might have problems picking up a heart beat unless they used that Doppler machine and turned it up real loud. Please don't fret!...Go to your doctor if you feel concerned....But everything should be alright.

NO...SOME TIMES THIS NEW THINGS COME OUT PROMESSING ALL KINDS OFF GOOD THINGS, BUT AT THE END THEY R JUST A WAISTE OF $ . YOUR BABY IS FINE, I DID THE SAME THING WHEN I WAS PREGNANT W MY SECOND BABY AND IF I BELIVED THIS MACHINE FOR 1 MINUTE I WOULD OF SPEND THE REST OF MY PREGNANCY AT THE DR'S OFF. SO, SIT BACK, RELAX, AND ENJOY EVERY SECOND OF BEING PREGNANT AND B4 YOU KNOW U WILL HAVE YOUR BABY IN YOUR ARMS
