It really depends on what the bios can handle, and what the socket type is.

There's no real difference between a celeron and a P4 if the socket type is the same. The celeron is a Pentium 4 with a much smaller cache and usually has something else disabled in the chip as part of their grand marketing scheme.

No, I'm sure the motherboard which was running the Celeron will not be able to handle a P4.
