You are right on all accounts. We go through life but once, and yet remain so busy on our own little paths that we forget those who travel beside us, around us, towards or from us. Without love, life sucks a big zero. AS we age, we become more and more aware of time, and generally, we can chose to share ourselves or seal ourselves up ... sharing is so much more comfortable.

A question of a lifetime and centuries old. Why are people ignorant to others and about life? Many people look on the outer side of people-examples- "Their Black so no good for nothings except breeding!, Their native american so their drunks and scum, he is a vietnam vet and therefore a crzed baby killer, rapist, murderer, they are oriental, therefore recieve more benefits than me, their russian, therefore, untrustworthy. That one is a mexican, puerto rican, cuban and therefore steal our jobs, that woman has to much bagage and don't want nothing to do with them! I have just metioned a few things here, but their are aspects and other things-RACE, COLOR, CREED, AND RELIGION! Unfortunately, their is to much predjudism in our society today. As youngsters we should have been taught how to react and reach out to others. We all have faults, there is no one-who is alike. Our personalitys, family relations, upbringing, home life are many factors that are different. Everyone personality is different. Okay, so someone earlier made the comment-Miss Manners, thats all and well, but that is the whole of the situation, is it not? How many times have I seen someone laugh and joke at people who are handicapped, down syndrom,Leukemia, polio, cancer, elderly, and other problems. Wheel chaired and can't move as fast as another-you think they like being what they are? Does one ever think of another today? Our children laugh and joke about their elders, they make fun of them or ignore them totally. Many elders and experianced people have been in many situations and advice is always lacking. Respect seems to have slightly dissapeared into todays society. Things unforeseen ,happen ! Each of us should learn and take advice or suggestions, even if that is not he right answer you wanted to hear.
Have you ever noticed people around you lately? Have you ever thought about reaching out and trying to help? Nah, thats old stuff that "Old Fogeys" often talk about. It is true, In the older days while growing up everything was more simpler, no such things as "easy money" Everything was done the hard way. I grew up on the farm and we farmed 950 acres, our life was far from easy, but the things we learned were taught well. Todays children are spoiled, they never learned what helping and be alert to what was around them. The old cliche is: " I ain't going to be mean and hard on my children when I get older and have my own kids!" So life has changed for many....The same holds true in some aspects of the past, but very small.....
