Is there a disc to erase personal info from your computer?

I want to give my old computer to a friend and would like to erase my personal info from it like bank accounts but leave the impersonal stuff on it like games and things. Is there a cd made to to this and where would I find it?

Safest thing would probably be to use the RECOVERY CD that came with your computer. Recovery disk will delete everything, reinstall all the necessary software. Your computer will go back to factory condition. If you installed additional software that you want to preserve they will be gone too though.
