There's no wrong answer here, just give me what YOU believe to be the best rivalry in CFB, and WHY.

I'll submit my three as:

1) Michigan/Ohio State. Both schools put tons of money from both the schools and boosters to influence major top prospects to come to their schools. Generally speaking both have competitive programs just about all the time.

2) Army/Navy. One of the most pure rivalries in the game, these two schools used to produce the nation's elite professional football talent, but now play purely for pride and bragging rights.

3) Alabama/Auburn. In Alabama, there's simply not another sport. Past that; you're either an Alabama fan or an Auburn fan. The two fan bases despise eachother just as much--if not more--than any other CFB rivalry.

Here's my two cents.

I've lived in Texas, Ohio, and California. But until I moved to Birmingham, I had never really experienced a football rivalry that comes anywhere close to Auburn/Alabama.

Seriously. It goes on ALL YEAR LONG. Ohio State and Michigan is intense during football season. USC/UCLA is really a low-key thing. Texas Oklahoma is pretty big. But nothing comes close to this game and its importance to its fans.

My kids came home from school on their first day in a new state and all the other kids wanted to know whether my children were Auburn fans or Alabama fans. They were very confused. So we finally chose Auburn and are glad we did, given how the Tigers have won four in a row and are legit national championship contenders.

1. Army vs Navy. There is nothing like this game regardless of rankings. It is simply for glory and honor.
2. Auburn vs Alabama. These schools really hate each other and no rivalry is as intense as this game.
3. Michigan vs Ohio State. Much like the Auburn vs Alabama rivalry as these schools detest each other. Many great games.

There are a lot of great rivalries in college football. My favorite used to be USC / UCLA. From 1936 to 1981 they played in the same stadium. When they played each other both teams wore their "home" uniforms, and the schools divided up the tickets 50/50.

But no more. The NCAA passed a rule that there can't be two "home teams" in one game and UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl. Now I have to go with Army / Navy.

1. Army-Navy game- biggest rivalry, bar none. Is and always has been the biggest rivalry, and nothing can change that, even if you don't care about either team you watch that game.

2.Texas-Oklahoma game- known as the Red river shootout, a hated rivalry for years. Some college coaches say it is a fiercer rivalry then the army-navy game.

3. Florida-Georgia game- known as the world's largest cocktail pary, it attracts more tailgaiting then the Super bowl.

Army/Navy: Nuff said.

FSU/Miami: Look at the last quarter century (25 years) of this war. All the implications, all the stars that came from the 2 schools, all the finishes (Wide Rights and Lefts).

And my 3rd one? Wow, that's tough.... I guess it's......

Oklahoma/Texas: Neutral site, both states so close to each other, recruiting wars, bragging rights, and the winner gets a golden cowboy hat!!!

Harvard/Yale- One of the oldest and still most hotly contested rivalries in the country.

Army/Navy- For love of country and the game. Once it produced Heismans, now it produces good fighting men and leaders. I love this game and almost never miss it.

Texas/Oklahoma- Hard hitting, intense rivalry that dates back to the beginning of their former conference, the Southwest Conference.
