She was an avatar at the beginning of her career. Her voice was unique, interesting and quirky in the 60's. Then she went mainstream and became too technically perfect. She lost her style, her charisma. She began to sing like a machine; predictable and precise.
Now, her voice is fading. YaKnowWhatIMean?

Barbra Streisand is the greatest singer for all times and she possesses the most spectacular voice we have ever heard. We are indeed the luckiest people to witness all of her glorious achievements in our lifetime.

For the style of music she does, its great, but I like blues-rock, so you don't see any of her recordings in my collection.
