I am doing a debate for a class, and I am on the side saying CEO's make too much money compared to their employees. I've come up with some good information, but just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas I did not think of. What are some good arguments to support the fact that CEOs should not be making as much money as they do?

There are none. CEOs get paid for profits and growth. Like Coaches or Pro Athletes....the performers get paid, the non-performers get fired.

They continue to lower wages and take away benefits from all the other employees in order to get lean and mean and stay competetive but refuse to take a hit on their lifestyle even though they make so much money that if you cut their salary in half they would feel a thing.

I think being a CEO of any company is far from easy and they probably deserve whatever salary they earn, but when they earn millions and pay their employees pittance, there is something that is not right there.
