oh,yes,it is quite tiresome.first of all,i hold two degrees, and took honors, and have a quite respectable iq.(tho' not so apparent,as i never correct my typo's!)not bragging, just trying to defend self from endless insinuations of ignorance.also,as a vegetarian,a pacifist, and a person who tries to lead a mindful lifestyle, the charge that i am a war-mongering politically naive thug is jarring.for over 20 years,i have walked, biked or taken public transportation to try to save our planet from pollution.and in Europe,i am hit with charges that i am wasting petrol.final insult-that North Americans are untravelled and culturally unsophisticated-well, i speak spanish,i speak irish gaelic,i can read french, and i've been to Europe 3 times, and South America twice.i've always been taught to be kind and polite, and have tried my best to be so,but i cant have lunch in Europe without people treating me as if i am personally responsible for the current administration.i've solved the annoyance,tho'-my husband is fluent in german, and i am working on it-we found we were not harassed in France when we spoke it...probably because it was assumed my husband is a native.well, thats my rant-thanx 4 letting me get that off my chest !!!!! PS. rather silly to treat me as if i were an isolationist-all 4 of my grandparents, and one parent, were from Europe-do u think i dont care about the welfare of my family members who still reside there?

So what do you suggest that Americans do if they don't like the government? Start a revolution? Throw bombs? Assassinate someone? I'll leave these things to the rest of the world who think they are so superior to us.
This country has had presidents that I've liked less than Bush and the US has managed to muddle through without falling apart so I think we'll do it this time too.
Do you think I care whether the French and the Canadians think I'm stupid? Really, do you?
This country is founded on the idea of nonviolent dissent and it will continue to function until it gives up that idea.
You only wish that your country had a fraction of what America does. Imperfect as it is it is still better than anywhere else. Just ask all the people who try to move here continuously.

Its hard when you are at the top. Everyone on the bottom wants to pull you down. All we can do is be a true playa and brush our shoulders off...
I think its about time the US pulls out of the UN, as it is just an body that pretend to have power. A body where China, a communist state, is on the security council and not even one European countries critisize the US for "torture" (a few soilders took degrading pictures of captured Iraqis) when other atrocisities are happening around the word.
I think at this point the stereotypical American is sick of others passing judgement on us while ignoring everything else.
We will see how things go down when someone needs our help...

i'm thrilled to work out some clever solutions to this question. To my user-friendly answer: actually people are sheep. they're so fastened on what the mainstream information networks tell them. they have not any concept how lots effect the globalist elites have on each and every thing and can't fathom what's fairly happening. The Federal Reserve has reportedly published over 4 trillion funds interior the final 3 years.... ....2 and a 0.5 years in the past the Federal Reserve stopped publishing the M3 charts....this is fairly anxious. What do you think of they're hiding? jogs my memory of Operation Bernhard; a Hitler released application to decimate the British financial equipment.

Our goverment is our constitution and our laws it is not individuals Well the rest of the world is trying to get here to live here it seems to be a big problem here.. Is it because we have more freedom here more liberty we live in peace. Is it becasue the Ideas we came up with have made america the greatest place on earth to live. Is it because we live together in peace despite many differant relgions and ethnic groups and despite our problems were dealing with them, and we dont need to kill people who dont like there goverment LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD DOES. were not killing each other. The rest of the world is pissed because doing it there way doesnt work. WE are cleaning up the mess of the rest of the world. every problem today can be traced to europeeOn screw ups and greed. We are cleaning the mess and taking the hits from the people europeeons opresed for centuries. We didnt set the stage but were dealing with it.

I think about half of america is dumb. They don't know and would rather listen to stereo types than make their own decision. The other half is knowledgable. They can form their own opinions and seek new info. The problem is that people like our current president make americans look like retarded monkeys.
We were on the top at one time. But now, every other country has the same technologies and power we have.

It does make me feel bad that here are people in this world that would like nothing more to kill everyone in this country. What can I do to change their minds. I have no clue and I am only one person. If you give me a suggestion on how to make the world a better place, I am all ears.

The world has always hated the US ... until it feels it needs the US.
Witness: Tsumani, earthquakes, famine, blah blah blah. Don't hear the world complain about that big military machine then, do you.
Most of us are used to the world's hypocritical hatred and don't care, since the planet consists of 5.5 billion incessant whiners and 1 billion doers. We just happen to have more than our share of doers here, so the global whiners kick in elsewhere.

I don't mind that people judge us by our government. I know many of us judge other countries based on their governments. It's all sociological. I think anyone in any country can be dumb or ignorant and that it's not just Americans or just other countries. It's about people as individuals. I think sociological factors play in what people perceive as "dumb" or "ignortant". I also think lack of education and refusal to understand others contributes too. Many people open their mouths about things they know little about. Overall, I think it is a lack of understanding that leads to negative perceptions.

I think the world is full of ignorance and hate, and stereotyping countries to justify your hatred is pitiable. There are people in every country that are brilliant, and there are people in every country who are foolish and naïve. The stereotypical ignorant American is less typical then the world likes to believe.
