Whatever information is available is included in the email headers which are part and parcel of the email message. You just need to set up your email to show the email headers. How this is done depends on the email client or webmail client being used. You will not always be able to determine the IP address of the sender from the headers but often you can.

IP #s are in every transmission from one PC to another. UNIX was sorta what started it and most TCP/IPs still use the same numeric values.
Just use the Show All Header Info and you will see all the #s and Domains and stuff. It aint like rocket science.
This .txt here is being Logged by something else besides my PC, everything is logged, welcome to the Internet.

if you are using the yahoo mail, go to options on the top right of the mail page> go to general preferences ? and click on show all headers... try it
