Ok, a little fashion lesson. White represents the summer which is marked btween Memorial Day and Labor Day. Since you are moving into the Fall season, it is time for fall colors. Your reds, browns, blacks, greens, like the color of the changing leaves. Now in winter, there are "winter whites". The thing is, as long as the article of clothing is appropriate for the season you are dressing for, you're fine. The other thing is, do you really care about what other people think, because some of the most recognized fashion trends come from people defying the rules? Hope that helps.

That's what I've heard and I'm pretty sure it's a common tradition in America, though it's still alright to commit a fashion faux pas and wear white after Labor Day. You could possibly make an effort to spill things on your white clothes, thus altering their color... either way, there's not any strictly enforced rule about it.

I think you aren't supposed to wear white on the bottom after labor day. (shoes, pants, etc) But wearing a winter white sweater is O-K!

That was am old fashion rule. It has now been replaced with winter white. But i guess every one don't know that yet. so probably where you stay you may look like a fashion mistake and they are talking about shoes and pants

Technically that is the rule, but wear whatever you want., that rule is a bit dated these days. Just don't let Joan Rivers see ya.

it depends on ur demographic. women in los angeles and new york wear white bottoms year round. all apparel that is new for fall is rarely white; that's a designer's rule.

You can wear whatever color you want to wear. Who gives a damn? Are you going to be shunned for life? I think not. And if you are who cares about the people who are doing the shunning? Who are they anyway. Jerks! Telling us what we can and cannot wear.
