Steve Irwin was a wonderful, caring, loving person and he was definitely a devoted conservationist, he will be so sadly missed and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

A little of both I guess. But I'll tell you this, he got his message across a lot better than someone who plays it safe all the time. The problem with society is that oftentime even though we find those who don't conform to society's norms to be fascinating, we ourselves cannot deviate from what's "acceptable" for our society, our family and our personal boundaries. Steve lead a wonderful life, his own life the way he wanted to live with zero boundaries. Many people wish they could only be half as free.
RIP.

Some one who greatly loved the environment, he loved the wildlife, animals of all kinds. He just wanted everyone else to love it too. I never thought he was irresponsible, he took all the precautions he could.
