Yes, he passed earlier today.
He was hit by a sting-ray in the heart. Died almost immediately.

Yes, the crocodile hunter is dead. He got stung in the chest by a stingray while filming an underwater documentary.

he died on a Batt Reef of the coast of Port Douglas about 40mins north of Cairns, Queensland, Australia...
I live in Cairns, have dived on Batt Reef and any number of reefs on the Great Barrier Reef...this was a freak accident....
His heart was most likely puncher ed when the barb of a stingray entered his chest. He probably died instantly. As of yesterday afternoon, my inside source told me that his body was in the Cairns morgue awaiting an autopsy to confirm this. A video of the incident has been given to Cairns Police who are investigating the incident....
The mood here in Cairns...Australia in general is one of shock. We are all trying to find out information about what happened cause no one can believe it....
My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife and two children, Bindi and Bob. The first thing that I thought of were those poor children...there dad will never be replaced.
I hope that people will always remember Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" as a wildlife warrior and passionate conservationist, but as a proud father to two beautiful children...
The world is mourning you Steve...I think that everyone knows you were one of a kind, a true example of Gods fine work...

Yes, he's really dead. He died while scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. He swam over a sting ray and the sting ray stabbed him through the heart.

Yeah, he's really dead. Had a few close calls, if I recall correctly, but a stingray finally got him. Poor guy.

yes becaus he was making an under water video and a stingray stabbed him in the chest the police have the footage right now

yes he passed away today filming for tv series on deadliest oceans or some title like that...he swan too close to a stingray and the sting rays barb tail pierced through his ribs into his heart puncturing it ,plus the sting...apparently rare to be fatal...god bless his family ~

Yes, it's true...he is dead. My husband just told me earlier. He was stung my a sting Ray through the heart.
Poor guy...at least he died doing what he enjoyed.
