austin powers, rush hour 2, and lord of the rings...probably pirates of the carribean 2, but i have never seen it

Godfather Part II is widely considered the greatest sequel ever and was the first sequel to win a Best Picture Oscar. I heard Britain's foremost film critic say it was the only sequel to surpass the original, but many felt that Toy Story 2 was actually better than an already-excellent original.

"The Godfather II" was better than the original
"The Empire Strikes Back" outshown "A New Hope"
"The Bride of Frankenstein" was a much better movie than "Frankenstein"
"Shrek II" was written better than "Shrek"
But these are the exception to the rule. Generally sequels are terrible and hardly worth the investment of time it takes to see them.

The Godfather, Part II is the winner. They could have made one long Godfather movie combining the two parts. Oh....they did.
