Made some major headway organizing the stuff in our basement this week. Have far too much stuff, and shaking it down to a sensible amount takes time, like when you go to your clothes closet and sift through maybe 35% of your stuff you will never ever ever wear again and donate it to a friend or your favorite charity. You can keep a lot of stuff if you organize it so it's neat, but if you have clutter, it does a number on your brain after awhile. When I get the basement finished up so I can walk from one end to the other without falling over anything I will climb two flights of stairs and start on our attic. Second verse, same as the first. (I'm Henry the 8th, I am, by Herman's Hermits - remember that song and group from the sixties?)This may not seem very exciting to you, but I am sixty-three years old, and getting my lilfe organized is a big step in the right direction. It's like anything else that stares you in the face: the more you put into it the more you out of it. When I finish up with the attic I will have a thirty by thirty foot open space to listen to music... rugs, speakers in sets of four on either side (four systems in one) and stereo to die for... classics, blues, pop, whatever. A place to plop down in your favourite chair and leave the world behind... a meditation room where only our two cats can come and sleep while I'm up there... thanks for letting me give you this windy reply which is just my way of telling you this very day and all of last week have been the most successful I have ever put in in my life, because all the stuff is finally getting done, and done right. So I'm bloody well to be, mate! Best to you from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A.

bloody great! although, I am suddenly mindful that having had the term "bloody hell" as a fixed part of the scenery of my language all my life, it's only right here, right now that I have stopped to consider the imagery contained in the term when you think about it literally, and it's a bit icky!

I'm at work. And it's a holiday. I'd say bloodier than a nagging frog on caffeine blindfolded unexpectedly and tossed into a blending machine.
