No his job was risky and he was filming a segment on the oceans deadliest after all. I do feel really bad for his family. But playing the Pollyanna game he was living life with large and with passion, and he taught a many people a lot about the animal kingdom. In a round about way he also taught about tolerance.
So God bless him and his family.

i was. i got online and saw the headline "remembering steve irwin" and i thought, "why do we need to remember him? is he retiring?" and then i saw "croc hunter dies at 44" and i was completely and utterly shocked. i read the article, and his death was so tragic, he was always saying how lucky he was that he never got seriously injured, so i guess his luck ran out. when i told my family, my brother went "crikey! me heart!" and my mom said, "oh no! that's just too bad. his poor family!" i couldn't believe that he was gone. we watched the discovery channel ll day, and it was so sad to see him so happy and compassionate and now he's gone. he will be missed.

once again this is a sadday. i honor this man to death. i wasnt really a fan of his show and not a big animal fan eother myself. the thing is i knew that he was a great man all the way. fo those people out there saying they couldnt wait till he died, i have pity for them. he was a great man. a dumb stingray killed him, and im frankly mad as heck about it. he was a good guy and i know god is givving him a lacein heaven. god bless him
