Sandy Koufax was the best lefty I ever saw. He led the league in ERA from 1962-66. In 1963 he went 25-5 with an ERA of 1.88 and won 2 games in the 1963 WS sweep of the Yankees (he was WS MVP also). He followed up that season in 1964 with a record of 19-5 with an ERA of 1.74, in 1965 was 26-8 with an ERA of 2.04, and in 1966 went 27-9 with an ERA of 1.73. Arm trouble ended his magnificent career.

Cy Young was right-handed...
Lefty Grove was the best left handed pitcher of all time... led the league in ERA 9 times by far the most in history, despite pitching his entire career in hitters parks (like in Philadelphia and Boston).
He Won 300 games, and lost only 141... That's a lot fewer loses than a lot of 200 game winners had...
There are pitchers in the Hall of Fame (Rube Waddell, for example) who won less than 200 games but had more loses than Grove.

I've been laughing for 5 minutes at the Bob Feller throwing 115 MPH answer.
Uh...dude? Feller was right handed, and while very good, never threw 115 mph.
Robert Moses (Lefty) Grove pitched in the 20's & 30's (when WHOLE TEAM averages reached the .300's. Lefty Grove is the best of all-time. Check his numbers and compare them against the league averages (but highest of praise for Koufax, he just didn't play long enough.)
And, quit picking Cy Young - he was right handed.
