You break up with your boyfriend by many things. You can tell him that you just want to be friends with him or...you can tell him the truth. Tell him that you don't have any feelings for him any more and you have feelings for someone else. But don't tell specifically who, let him know by seeing you and your new guy (his friend) together. Then, he'll get the picture.

You can't go out with your man's best friend. Men are different from women. If your boyfriend finds out that you dumped him for his friend they will eventually stay friends and you will be left without either one. You could break up with your boy and eventually go out with his friend, but not right away.
