Would you support the legalization of polygamy, if polyandry, gay, and group marriage/civil unions were also legalized?

Yeah, I should clarify. I'm all for whatever it is consenting adults do. What Jeffs and his ilk do is pedophilia, and reprehensible.

Yes. (As long as everyone involved in it wants it). People who fall in love and have relationships involving more than 2 persons should have the right to legalize them.

I am not a polygamist nor am I a supporter. I do believe the break down of the marriage laws for the gay movement will in turn legalize polygamy.

Do a web search and you will find there are other religions practicing polygamy in the USA besides the excommunicated Mormon groups. I was surprised to find a few years ago some sites where couples were posting for wives and women were posting for families. It used to be open and was called something like 3 Coins. There were Jews, Fundamental Pentecostals, etc. all practicing polygamy.

Never should polygamy be legalized. Women need the full attenion of their men. If it has to be shared by 6, 3, or even two people, then the relaionship is not going to work. Besides, it's adultery.

No, but gay marriages are legal in Canada now. I'm just wondering if it will eventually lead to legalizing polygamy.

Why does a man want two or three wives when one is enough to make life hell?

LOL

Seriously...trust me on this one, I live in Southern Utah not far from the FLDS run cities in Northern Arizona. They are always coming here to shop so you see them in the stores (they wear the same kind of dress all the time). Those women are BUTT-UGLY. We're talking triple baggers here.

Now, it's bad enough to have one ugly wife, but why the hell would you want two or three?

Polygamy married to more than one person at the same time, makes it illegal. Marry divorce,Marry divorce and repeat the steps, then it's legal. But be careful ,you may not have full control, now.The other groups can figure it out ,on their on time.

Polygamy reduces the genetic diversity. From a strictly genetic point of view, and not a moral point of view, it is a disaster waiting to happen, which is why there are laws against it, as there should be.

yes

love is too precious and perplexing to confine it to simple patterns. We should not let the law get in the way here.

I do think that children should be protected from immature decisions and from predators, so I do not encourage child marriage [although that can work well in societies where families arrange marriages].

I believe sound minded adults who are not into harming or exploiting others should be able to do as they see fit. The problem lies in that the most notable polygamists are loons. They are not helping their cause at all.
