OK, add 7 to both sides of the equation. 18 + 7 - x/3 = -7 + 7. That gives you 25 - x/3 = 0, or 25 = x/3. Then multiply both sides by three. 25 x 3 = x/3 x 3. In the last part of the equation, the /3 and the x3 cancel each other out. That gives you 75 = x.

P.S. Stop cheating on your homework! : ^ )

Ok.

18-x/3 = -7 (multiply by negative 3 to get rid of the 3 on the bottom)

18-x = -21 (subtract 18 from both sides)

-x = -39 (multiply both sides by negative 1)

x = 39

18 - x/3 = -7

by adding -18 to both sides
-x/3 = -7-18
-x/3 = -25

by multiplying both sides by -3
x = 75

by the way that's if only the 3 is under the x if it was under ( 18-x )
plz tell coz it changes the Q totally okay
