Everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion as to whether certain players used/are using steroids. However, those opinions are just that - opinions. Except for players who have actually failed drug tests, there's no proof that anyone did anything. There's a lot of speculation, but no proof.

So, should fans and the media people pipe down about steroids unless and until there's some actual PROOF?

Yes. People think anyone who hits 45 HRs in a season is automatically on steriods, because they're jelous that they thought they were the greatest baseball player, and now all they can do is watch. Now if a guy hits 50 HRs, and then never hits 30 again, it's kind of obvious, but then u can just say a guy is on steriods. If people care so much, then why don't they test the players?

I'm pretty sure that speculation on few players like Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa(What they said in front of Congress) is all I need to convict them. The evidence against Bonds(That and he's a total schmuck) is all I need, and the fact that Palmerio got busted for it in a drug test is all the proof I need. So, am I tired of it? Yeah, but until we get these people to admit it, we'll never really have proof.

Absolutely. The problem is, the user will have an excuse. Kind of like Floyd Landis. He said he had always had high levels of testosterone. (Spelling?)

No ! not at all.Keep the players honest. There is always someone who wants to cheat.Look at Dale Strawberry, drugs...drugs...drugs. he should have been thrown out after the second time.Rose paid for his mistakes and why not.So did the black sox.Keep it going and keep them honest.

If MLB was serious about getting rid of cheaters just like cycling and track, we would not be having this conversation.

I would rather see them allow it. I liked all the home runs hit a few years back when Sammy and MCGraw were going at it.

I can see it now: Four leagues in MLB. AL and NL Non-Steroid and Al and NL Steroid. LOL!
