you have to be 18 to go by yourself but if you go with an adult (legal guardian) thats over 21 you have to be 14 and over but some tatoo artists do ask that ur 16.

In most of the states you have to be 18. In South Carolina it is not even legal

legally 18, 16 with an adult i think. but my friend who's 16 got her leg tattooed. and it wasnt a little lilly it was a python wrapped around her calf. i guess it depends on your looks and connections but id' suggest waiting untill you're out of the house because if you go home with a tattoo your parents WILL claw the skin off of you thats for sure

u have to be 18 to get one without a parent but if u wont one at 16 u need to have a parent with u. i dont think u can a tatto any younger

you need to be 18 to get one without consent. if you have your parents permisson you can get it done at 16. you'll be hard pressed to find a reputable artist who will tattoo anyone under 16 since younger teens are really known for their long term decision making skills and will, in all likely hood, regret it before they reach adult hood

you have to be 18 to get one on your own, and with parents consent, anything under 14 is considered child abuse so i guess 14 yrs or older
