His death has effected a number of us in a matter of many ways.
I think the song 'Everybody Hurts' is appropriate.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

To dedicate his life to the protection of animals and to risk his life saving crocodiles. Only to swim over a normally peaceful stingray and be stung in the heart is cruel. I always thought a croc or some other dangerous animal would eventually kill him. He did so much for Australia and the world educating everyone on these amazing animals. My heart goes out to his wife and two children.

Just to let some know how it happened, He was diving off the coast of Australia and he was hit in the heart by a stingray. He was a dare-devil that is for sure. Did U see the one where he had his baby next to a Crocodile. That is just preposterous.

"Crikey!" I'm going to miss his shows... but i'll keep watching the old ones. But hey! The guy did something with his life which less than half the worlds population don't tend to do. He died doing something he loved, and he made the most of life. so RIP STEVE IRWIN...we'll all remember you.. :-(
