i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Me too.
I cried this morning when I found out. I really liked him. He did some crazy things but that's part of his appeal.
he loved all animals no matter what.
People that go and say "Save the Whales!" But if snakes were endangered they would say "Who cares?"
That's why I miss him. He cared for all the creatures of the Earth. To him something that could kill a person in a second was just a misunderstood Soul. No matter how many sharp teeth they had or what they had to kill to eat.
I also liked what he said in an interview a few years ago. That he's afraid of Animals but people. People kill more than animals do. He said that animals only strike when defending themselves but humans carry around guns and kill others for just no reason.
He was a nice, honest, caring, and a loving father. The planet doesn't have too many of those around. We need more people like Steve.
Crikey I can't believe he's gone.
Blessed Be his Family and Friends.
You will be missed.
The Earth and all it's creatures have lost a true champion.

He will be missed...
And no...I can hardly believe it.
May God / Jesus comfort his wife Terri and their two young children...in this time of grief...
Grace and God Bless!
For anyone that doesn't know...Steve Irwin was killed while filming with a stingray. It was a freak accident. Apparently, he was swimming above the ray when it went into a defensive posture and the ray's tail went upward and the barb on the tail went into his heart. It's thought that he died instantly.

i was really sad and shocked. it's so sudden, he was just alive, and now hes gone forever, just like that, he doesn't exist on this world any more. its scary how fast things like this can happen, it makes me worry that people close to me will die. he seemed like such a great guy and now he is leaving behind his two little children with no father, and his wife is now a widow. it's so sad. he was so full of energy and he seemed invincible the way he would fearlessly wrestle crocodiles and play with deadly snakes. I just can't believe it and every time I think about it, it still hasn't sunk in.

me too. More than anything because he was so young and so full of life and spirit. I think this has really hit home for young people..as they did admire him in a way, and if anyone seemed invincible it was steve. God bless you steve, rest in peace x x

Yes. I posted a question earlier about it and one person wrote a nasty statement about why I posted it. He then emailed me 2 times and had my next question cancelled. If YOU get nasty replies, just LET IT GO. Do not lower yourself to their level.
Now.....I was shocked about his death! What a terrible way to die. Hopefully,it was quick. I'm sorry you are grieving. Say a prayer for his soul and for his family and friends. I will, too, friend.
