He can't be too crazy because he jacked the presidential office two times and nobody said anything or raised hell. He's just a puppet for the real people in power!

Bush is not crazy. He is lazy and intellectually weak. Morally he is banal. Others, smarter, and equally banal, have taken charge of policy formulation.
You will note that he has been a disappointment to Conservatives, largely because he has been so lazy and ineffective, but partly because he has no core beliefs motivating him.
You NEVER hear tales of Bush expressing anguish or saying anything interesting. He is the Beatles' Nowhere Man.
