on the television has prompted me to turn on the close captioning and turn the t.v. down to a whisper. Commercials and the music announcing the upcoming news has always been loud, to attract your attention. But it seems it is getting louder, I practically have to scream at the person across the room so they can hear me. Is there an agency I can write to and complain about this?

Happens in the UK too. I was told that it's louder during the commercials as most people go into the kitchen to make a drink when they are on...reason being that if they are louder you can still hear them!

The FCC......but why not just leave the volume turned down on your TV if it's bothering you so much?
