Hello "Mr. Danger"!
Definitely! Everyone can own property in Greece! We still are very hospitable and like "danger", all kind of danger!
Of course it is somehow expensive, but what would you expect for owing a piece of land connected to History, myths, society, philosophy, ... it is the nest of civilization!
Welcome and enjoy the land of your grandparents, the land of the ancestors of all thinking people!

In u . s . a . of america we prefer to talk approximately our cultural backgrounds. Like i'm Italian and Scottish, Jimmy down the block is French, German, and interior of reach American, etc. although have been rather between the very few worldwide places that do this. maximum worldwide places in Europe might desire to care much less in case you had a grandfather from eire or a great grandfather from Spain, you're of the country you have been born and raised in. i don't understand no count if Greece's immigration rules help you declare duel citizenship based on your hereditary good or not, yet through fact you have been raised in an American subculture, you would be appeared at as American with the help of something of the worldwide. proceed to demonstrate delight on your Greek history, although, it fairly is an particularly relaxing subculture.

Yes. I lived in Greece several years ago and there were many foreigners who were buying property and building homes. I believe that in most countries it is possible to own property. Your problem will be to deal with getting a visa to stay for longer than a tourist visa will allow. But property ownership usually isn't a problem. It definately isn't a problem in Greece.

Sure, anyone can buy a property in Greece. There are a lot of European tourists who fall in love with Greece and buy land and/or houses.
