I know what love is to me, but I want to know other people's opinions.

There are many good answers - Please vote for your favorites so I won't have to chose!!! Also, to "Justa_Honay_Guy" I do know a "person" who's lived forever to verify that forever love is true. - he's called God. Now, people's opinions are very interesting. I wonder, How many of you would agree with the below (this is talking about real love, any kind of love as long as it's true - not nessacarily between a couple, by the way):
"Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."
Does that sound like what love is, or should be, to you?

Love has many meanings.
It also can be used to cover a wide range of caring, from liking to enjoying, to appreciating, to exuberance.
When love is felt in a strong way, time stands still.
When love is just a reflex action, then life becomes boring.
Love is best when young and fresh.
Love needs two to work at it.
Never simple to define, love is the most enduring and uniquely human quality of all.
If the whole world was in love, there would be no time to go to sleep. Everyone would be too busy to think of sleeping.
Love would then become contageous, and all past differences would melt away.
It would be joyous to experience an outpouring of love among all peoples, but at this point in history, seems highly unlikely.

Yes there is true meaning of love: 5different ways 1 would be through happyness, 2 feelings in heart, 3 joyful, 4 kindness to each other and finally 5 accept the gifts from people

Love is something you don't take for granted. To me love is never having to say "I love you" all the time. Its more than just words. Plus, being sappy is not what its all about. Love is something that never stops growing. How many times have you wanted something so bad, that when you finally get it, you put it to the side and forget about it? Love is the opposite of that. Love is something that appears out of no where, and leaves an impression on you. Love is something that you think about everyday because it makes you forget about your troubles. Love is knowing that someone would never leave you even when they're gone. Love is having someone by your side even when they're not. Love lifts you high even though you're still on the ground. Love makes you cry even when you're happy. Love is what you make of it, and not even God can take that away from you.

Love is when you would be able to jump out in front of a car instead of having the other person hit. Love is when you go to sleep and think about the other person, dream about the other person, and just always think about the other person and do whatever it would take to make them happy and smile.

LOVE is so many things to me....Love for your Family,friends, and even food are all very different in themselves!! I Love eating Great pizza but also Love my kids...this is certainly much different. Love is my way of Life...it touches everything I do and see in everyday that I exist!! I can not go thru Life without Love...some people say they don't Love anything...I disagree with them ..even if they Love to hate people or anything else they are feeling the power of Love....its in all of US!!!!

That depends on what kinda love. I'm guessing that you mean love between a couple. That kind of love to me is giving everthing you have for someone, Unconditionally! Meaning to give your life for this other if it is necessary. Thats true love. Making them your life as they should for you. If there is such a thing as that kinda love, thats what it is to me.

It's when a man and women can stay together all their life's after they're married. To be able to understand each other and be there for one another when one needs help. It's caring and understanding. I've been doing it for 42 years and don't regret a moment .
