Right now it is AT&T with the promotion they are advertising, but best to check out for long run and for that I like Comcast. You can get on a promo every 6 months.

Im sorry if this sounds like Im not goving you a straight answer.
The answer all depends on what part of the country you live in. This will help to determine what is available in your area.
If your interested in this for your area, go to this web site that will allow you to comparison shop.

To answer the larger question, the cheapest is about 12.95 a month. This is a teaser rate. This is the rate that new customers get for the first 6 months.
Its done the same way with credit cards. They advertise a good rate that is only good for an introductory period.

Without the teaser rate, DSL is about 35 a month and cable is about 45 per month, on average.

I hope that helps.

i'm partial to at&t since my mom works there, but so far at&t has the cheapest broadband service: the cheapest plan is only $12.99 a month.
