YES, Guinea Pigs can take baths. They can swim too, but that doesn't mean you can just plop them in a tub full of deep water either. You have to put a towel on the bottom of the tub so they don't freak out at the slipperiness of the tub bottom and put about two inches of water in the bottom. Tubs are sloped so they can always go to the shallow end.
Use a mild shampoo like puppy oatmeal shampoo, or a detergent-free shampoo, NEVER use a shampoo made for people, the pH is all wrong. Rub them off really well so they are not soaked and cover their cage with a towel to prevent drafts until they are dry. If it is winter, put their cage by one of the heating vents and cover it with a towel, so the warmth stays in, although I don't recommend doing a lot of bathing in the winter, sometimes it is necessary.
I am not sure where you people get your information about pigs should never have baths; good grief, do you think they avoid puddles of water in the wild? Granted they do live in tropical rain forests where it is a bit warmer, so we must make sure to keep them warm, but come on... They get dirty and dusty! You would get itchy too!

Guinea pigs cannot take baths because they can easily catch a cold and die as a result of it. But, if it calls for it, sometimes guinea pigs soil they bottoms, so you can give them a bum-bath.
I put a little warm water in the bath tub and make sure it's not deep, just enough to get their feet wet. Baby shampoo is okay, not too much just a bit. Have a jug of warm water, not hot, standing by to rise the piggy's bottom well.
Make sure you dry them off with a towel and if you want you can use a hair drier. At a low setting and not to close to the skin or it will burn. Also make sure that there are no drafts.

My two have regular baths and swims too... They weren't too happy the first time they were introduced to the bath but they are used to it now. They are very vocal when taking their baths they sound like they're singing!!!!! They love a swim too.. I quite often put a shallow tray of water in their indoor run for them to paddle in.
If you keep your Guineas outside then be careful they don't get cold.

Yes you can bathe guinea pigs but you should take care that they are completely dry before putting them back in their cage as they can catch cold very easily.

You're really supposed to give them baths, but my piggy hated them so I eventually stopped trying. Just brush him regularly, keep his nails trimmed, and keep his bed extra clean. My piggy lived for a long time without a bath.
