how much will the PS3 cost most likely? when will the 360 go down in price? can the premium 360 ($400) ones play xbox games

the PS3 will be from $600-$900 depending on what specifications you want (hard drive and what not) but it will be able to read BluRay discs which are the next generation of DVDs (high definition)
the 360 will drop in price, probably very closely to when the PS3 is coming out (and with Halo 3)
the premium 360 for $400 can play most old XBOX 1 games

I would say forget about all of those and look for a Nintendo Wii... only between $170-250, and it will have graphics that, while they aren't as good as the other systems, will be great, especially for the money you are spending.
BUT the best thing is the absolutely innovative gameplay it will have that NO OTHER SYSTEM can even come close to. Goto http://wii.nintendo.com/home.html and see for yourself just how cool this thing is going to be.
