Oh please, if he had worked for those goals, I'd give him credit. But he is definately not anyone special. The ball lands at his feet and he scores. I didn't rate him before and I don't rate him now. He is clumsy and lacks skill; the only advantage is his height. I was reading in the newspaper that because Rooney is back from suspension they will be dropping Jermaine Defoe! That guy has more skill in his little toe than 6ft 7in of Crouch so I think Defoe should stay and Crouch should go.

I'm assuming that you're talking about the people who said he was rubbish, but now think he's the best thing since sliced bread. That's not being a hypocrite, that's being fickle more than anything, like most football fans are. I admit to being like that with Owen Hargreaves, thought he was crap, but now admit that he's actually pretty good when played in the right position. I'm now eating humble pie.
However, to be a hypocrite we would have to slag Peter Crouch off for being crap...only to be proved that we ourselves are crap at football. So I guess for 95% of the people who slagged him off, yeah, you're right, HYPOCRITES.

People can't accept that someone who does not fit into the media-groomed world of Sky Sports driven t.v. football can score so many goals, which is why the bitching about him continues. If he was 5 feet 11 and a pretty boy like Beckham or Lampard nobody would be complaining.

I,m glad to hear someone has the same opinion as me. Just because he doesn't score every game he set's up a lot of the play unlike LAMPARD who can't even play well against a team who are fith from bottom of the ratings

When Crouch replaced Shaun Wright Phillips I believe the crowd were booing the decision to take off Shaun Wright Phillips NOT booing Crouch when he replaced him on the pitch

Why is that? Why is somebody a hypocrite because they criticised a player? Perhaps you don't understand English.

no i criticised him and still don't like him. who's he got most of his goals against? greece? jamaica? trinidad & tobago? andorra? let's see him score against a quality team. gerrard's getting ahead of himself again. didn't gerrard say we could win the world cup too? even if crouch were to beat charlton's record (won't happen) it won't matter because charlton scored them against GOOD sides

Crouch is doing alright for himself now, yes, but what's your question?

I liked him and wanted him to do well, even when he was at Villa. He has this funny look on him, I always want him to do well.

It will be only a matter time when his England form translates into goals for Liverpool.
