Those online ovulation calendars are rarely accurate for the majority of women. Your most fertile period is 12-16 days BEFORE the start of your next period. How long are your cycles? Count back 16 days from when you expect your next period to come and that is the beginning of your fertile period.

Those numbers are based on a 28 day cycle and you must be sure you have one. Most women can have a shorter or longer cycle. You are most fertile on your fertile days depending on the length of your cycle. You must have intercourse the 5 days leading up to ovulation everyday or every other day, the day of ovulation, and sometimes the day after ovulation if the egg is still around. You can not get pregnant after those dates.
I was confused about your posting. If you haven't had a period yet then you surely don't have a 28 day cycle or you are pregnant my dear.

it seems you are calculating wrong. you ovulate on the 14th day after the 1st day of your period. you want to have sex every day for 5 days before (since sperm can live for 5 days inside of you) and the day after you ovulate. if your period was on the 1st, your fertile time would be Aug10-15. you are trying a week too late. once you ovulate, the egg is only good for 12-24hrs. after that, you cannot get pregnant. A healthy woman has only a 25% chance of getting pregnant if timed right. This is because some times the sperm just dont find the egg. if you are healthy, I wouldnt worry about not getting pregnant until your trying goes beyond 6 mo.

the ovulation calculators are calculated on the average woman whos monthly cycles lasts 28 days.
in the case of the one you have looked at they seem to have slightly the wrong information.
you are most fertile 14 days before the start of your *next* period. so its best to have plenty of sex around 11-16 days before your next period is due - if you have a longer cycle that will mean moving your most fertile day along a bit. its unlikely a pregnancy will result towards the end of your cycle as your egg doesnt last very long. though sperm can live a few days inside you so having sex sooner will mean there is sperm in there to greet the egg when it leaves your ovary.
there is no need to time when you should be having sex. sex every 2-3 days will ensure that you never miss a fertile window & take the pressure off of you both.
good luck & i hope you get that positive test result soon.

There is a chance you could get pregnant, but not as great as when you are most fertile. You may not know you are pregnant until you have missed your period. Try taking a pregnancy test, they are accurate as soon as you are late with your period. Sounds like there is a chance you could be pregnant. Best of luck.

The best way is practice. Sounds like you have looked into it and it sounds right. My wife and I were in the same boat.I say were, because she is about 3 months now and we followed the same time frame as you described. Good Luck.

It's always possible, just a little more unlikely toward the time for you to start your period.
