Screwdrivers of various sizes are not so helpful unless disassembled. ALSO, the repair books are pretty sketchy as to how many of turns and to what degree the screw should be turned. I have a 140 in is for the main and I forgot to look for the other while I had it apart. I have been at approx 2.5 turns out currently

The pilot screw is only going to affect 0-1/4 of the throttle opening. Anything past 1/4 opening and the pilot screw has no affect on the fuel circuit.
There's a special tool to adjust the pilot screw while the carb is installed.
Turn the handle and the screw driver bit, at a right angle, turns.
