in IE:tools>options>in the box put"http://www.yahoo.com" and apply. firefox: tools>general>in the homepage box "http://www.yahoo.com".
use "disk cleanup" to delete unused programs

As for yahoo being your homepage, type in yahoo.com and at the top of it's webpage it says...make Y! your home page, click there, and I'm sure it'll do it for you....
As to making more space on your computer... try cleaning out temp files, as well as cookies..
If you have tons of music or such, download them to a cd and get them off of your computer..

Tools, internet options, On the general tab, click Use Current, and it will set that page as your homepage, make sure you are at Yahoo! homepage to do it.

Well, in the upper left hand corner on the Yahoo! page, it should say, "Make Y! your home page!".
