60 = 2x 30 = 2x2x15 = 2x2x3x5

But where we have 2x2 we can say 2^2 or 2 squared. (2 to the power of 2)

So:
60 = 3x5x2^2

Using primes and exponents

60 = 12 * 5
= 2^2*3*5
