How about this? Go to the bank and get 50 brand new one dollar bills (no folds or creases or anything). Wrap a paper band around them, covering the fronts and backs completely, with the end flap loose down the back. See if the bank will give you a cheap plastic check book cover (or maybe you would have one already) and put the bundle of cash inside the checkbook to resemble a book of checks.

Apparently the people that have posted suggestions have never gone to a bank to request new one dollar bills. I've been to several and get the same answer. Banks get so many one and five dollar bills from their commercial customers that they don't request ones and fives when ordering money from the Federal Reserve.

Go to the bank and ask to trade some older money for new bills. I've done this many times to give as gifts.

I have tried this. Going to the bank to ask for new money is almost impossible. Just try it! I have asked for them repeatedly and to no avail. If they come up at the teller station its by pure random luck. This should not be the case. My wife and I are not wealthy but do keep in the area of 30 to 50 Thousand in our checking accounts. for our 6 month emergency funds but they do not care. Maybe if it was 50 million they would.

You should be able to get the at your bank... exchange a $20 or whatever quantity you want for new dollar bills... just explain the teller, they should be able to help you. Good Luck!
