Triplets are extremely rare! But according Maxis, they can happen.
I have more luck with twins.
Anyway, you CAN get a hack to have trips or quads!

Have you heard of someone having triplets before?
EDIT: I went to the website listed below. The only way I could see to get triplets there is the same way you can make them yourself - by creating them when you create your family. I couldn't find any thing at all about giving BIRTH to triplets, you just have to make three new characters that all look alike and make them siblings. It's really you who call them triplets, the game just logs them as siblings. Bummer.

You can go to the Sims 2.com and download some houses. some houses have cheats that makes you able to have triplets you can even have 4 kids and Alians
