usually this is used in the context of a retailing companies sales

"like for like" usually refers to sales performance on similar / same assets as last year

ie excluding any new facilities / oultes sales have ben x (like fror like) compared to last year

Retail is full of idiots - dropouts, the losers in life get a job in retail.
Those who can't spell and have poor grammar.
