Because we need the oil. Oil despite foolish republicans who say otherwise is running out.In 20-30 years it will be more expensive to get to the oil than it is worth. Iraq, has ALOT of oil left.Saddam Hussein was about to get sanctions lifted by the UN, because he hasnt done **** since we ***** slapped him out Kuwait. So he was going to sell the rights to drill in Iraq to Russia, China and France. If that happened it would wreak havoc on our economy and the value of the dollar. Our government has been hijacked by money grubbing whores

Because ever since the early 1900's when the PRIVATELY-OWNED Federal Reserve was established, our government became ALL about greed and power, and we ceased to be a true democracy. Things will get worse over time, unless we dismantle the Federal reserve...but every President who seriuosly resisted them was assasinated. The owners are international mega-banks, who finance most of the worlds governments, and have done so for hundreds (if not thousands) of years. THEY are the true power, manipulating everything from the background. Hitler saw the problem, but blamed the wrong people. Bush is a puppet, the worst kind of opportunist, and the most skillful of liars.

If this war were about oil, we'd be shipping it here by the boat load. You need to pay better attention at what's going on. You have 26 million people who were liberated. They have had 3 free elections. As a result, they have established their own democratic government (who by the way could have kicked us out a couple of years ago if they'd wanted us to leave.) Revenues from oil will fund their infant government.

It's NOT all about money and oil. But what the hell do you have against oil and money?? In the society you presently live in, if you didn't have both, your posting of a "statement-posing-as-a-questionn" would have to be sent by smoke-signals. Though I also realize that would be difficult for most Liberals as they would have to burn SOMETHING.
PS: I realised that "question" is missing the "n" but once you make a mistake in "Answer." there's no correcting!!

Greed, the rich get richer, and we know what happens to the poor. When the people running your Government (The Corporations) start producing new kinds of ways of making money and the people in the know find out that slave labour is producing the goods of a particular firm, the stocks rise. (FACT)

It's a sad state of affairs, but the simple answer is greed. Those who accept answers from Government (sorry Corporate) sponsored books are not seeing the forest for the trees.

Yes, our administration has ties to big oil, and lots if not all contracts are going to their companies... HOWEVER, the war in and of itself, to the soldiers fighting it, is one to give people over there the power to be truly free. It is my hope, that once the people of Iraq have a democracy in place, they will govern themselves and protect themselves, and we can leave. The goal is that they not live their lives in fear of voting for who they want. The goal is that they should enjoy the freedoms we do.

George W. Bush, oil man. Dick Cheney, Haliburton, oil field services. Any more questions?

Because we have an administration in place who are all involved in the oil industry. They are not interested in humanity, just corporate profits.

we spend money on rebuilding other counties to get oil from them , they dont care where it came from ( us), we will have the oil last after all have used up their supply, greed will come with power and money

simply because it is and obviously so. But who cares? I personally am upset that neutron bombs (if they exist) were not used to kill the people but leave the oil fields intact for exploitation.
