I watched a movie last night where a protester was carrying a sign that read 'Nobody Loves and Nobody Gets Hurt'....a take off of on the saying that usually begins 'Nobody Moves...'

If you never try again you will never feel pain again...but you will never feel love again. It sounds like you need time to heal and there is nothing wrong with that. You don't have to ALWAYS be in a relationship. Try focusing on other things for awhile and ease your way back in when you are ready.

Be frank with your eventual dates and let them know you have been hurt and make need to move slowly.

not all men are the same, each one is different. Just like we are not all the same. I feel the pain you are having because I've been there. the only thing i can tell you is to feel it, endure it and keep your awareness of the red flags that arise when you do meet someone new. through my experience, I've ignored those red flags and regretted it. Even the ones that don't appear as red flags. like being too nice, too attentive, etc. those are the ones I'm paying for right now. Pain is not always a bad thing, it's there for a reason, and the reason it to learn. I just wished stupidity was painful as well. then maybe men will get a clue!!!
I guarantee if you ask yourself if this will matter in one year exactly, your answer will surprise you and your pain will be gone

Good luck

You are really hurting. I have been there too. I needed time to heal and accept myself as I was. I also had a lot of prayer support and learned to pour my heart out to God and ask Him what His plan for my life was.

I had to forget about men for a while. Just focus on daily survival. Keep a diary, pour your heart into it. In ten years you can look back and be surprised about how you were feeling. I don't remember much about that time in my life. I tried to kill myself, thinking that being alive was just too painful. Don't go that route. Get help. Turn to God. Seek out friends that will pray and support you emotionally.

This painful part of your life will pass. It may take a few months or a few years, but that is okay. Work on becoming a whole person. Good luck to you! Don't give up.

I have treated women bad in the past, and have lost love because i wanted to control them and the relationship....I WAS WRONG.
you are special...you are beautiful...you are a woman....you have a good heart and wait for that someone to give it too... and you will...i don't know you, but i have been there, and you will love again i promise.
there is no need to rush, love can't be rushed or it will not last.
loves like a rose...it withers in the winter..and blooms again it the spring...you are that rose and you will blossom again.
you have heard the song "wind beneath my wings", guess what?
you were the wind beneath the wings of those who hurt you, you did your best to keep them in flight...right now i will keep you in flight, yes for a moment I will be your wind..I hope it helps you to see that there are good men out there, and the good one come slowly, but they do come along. sorry for what has happened to you.
be patient.

A few years ago, I thought the same as you. Then one day, I told myself I wasn't going to cry anymore. I kept busy, and always kept my guard up for any man that tried to come into my life. Eventually, one was determined to win me over, and I've been with him ever since.

Stop being afraid.Everyone's so worried about getting hurt they're too scared to jump in and try again.Pray to GOD and jump back in.You also need to pray for the ability to LOVE yourself. You say you do but reading your question tells another story.NO ONE can mistreat you unless you let them.If you love yourself you'll never LET someone hurt you.Good luck, there's someone for everyone.
