he can't stand it when i can be or do anything better than him.
ex. i told him about one computer programe he didn't know it but he pretended that he knew it .. and i didn't say anything.
he does a better job at painting one day he asked me with a laugh like' so how is your painting? ' etc..
i am not angry or anything but bored . and want to know why he is trying so hard to be higher and not to lose his face ?

Try looking up codependent on the net it will explain how we are trained from childhood to get a sense of worth by being better than some else. I.E better looking, richer, better than you. To feel or have a sense of worth codependants need to put some else down other wise they feel worthless. There is is also the way we are taught how to precieve woman. Hope it helps.

I've come across guys like that who feel very intimidated by strong women. Their ideas of women are docile, and less intelligent or smarter than them. They have superiority complex and pride issues. I stay away or ignore such men as they can be very trying on your nerves. They constantly need reassurances. and have their egos stroked. They want to have the upper hand and control of the situation at all times. When in reality, they are very emotionally inmature.

He's just insecure, and it's a backhanded sort of admiration. He has a fear inside of him that you are so much better, so when he does something better than you, he feels a distorted sense of accomplishment. He's a pathetic person, dear. Feel sorry for him, even praise him once in a blue moon. Throw him a bone once in a while, and he may let up...

because he probably is very insecure that's why he puts others down to make himself look better he probably doesn't mean to it's just his nature tell him what he does he may not realize that he does it ,or he is just a typical male who is threatened by a woman doing better.
