I really do not like it. I totally do not understand why it is the #1 name for so many years recently. But that makes me like it even less.

Ever seen the movie Splash? A mermaid turns into a human and when she is asked her name, she happens to look up and see the street sign for Madison Avenue. I think that might be the start of the Madison craze.

Please give her a middle name that is she can use when she is older if she chooses.

I like the name, Its my daughter's name. BUT with so many Madisons out there I wish I would have named her something more unique.

i think it's a pretty name but now it's just so popular! i would rather give my children names that are unique but not strange and not a name that 5 other kids in her class are going to share.
but if you like it, then i say go for it! but just know that in this generation of children born in the last few years, there are going to be sooo many madison's.

I don't mean anything by this, & I hope you don't take it personally, but the name Madison, makes me think of Medicine...They sound a lot alike....It's a popular name though, & it's your baby, if you like it, go for it....Good luck!! :)

It's alright. I prefer names that are different but not too way out there. Names that wouldn't make 10 other kids turn around when you said it such as Brittany, Kaitlin, or Haylee.
