Well I am a Makeup artist and just to let you know the Smoky Eye look is IN right now. I love doing the smoky eye look and the best way instead of wearing all black is to do the same preperation just use color from pink to blue, just make sure you cordinate with the outfit. Try that and I will bet you will try it again and again. I just dont like using black alot.

DO NOT PUT ON THE INNER RIM IF U DO IT WILL BE SOME CONSEQUENCES.

USE A SMUDGER PENCIL.

If you do this look make sure, you with use eye liner in pencil or liquid you can get that in color also.

If you eyes are: Blue

Try: Brown and rose. Warm shades contrast the coolness of blue eyes, making them stand out. Apply from lashlines to creases and top with black mascara.

If you eyes are: Brown

Try: Green and gold. Both shades will pick up the colored flecks found in brown eyes. Choose a slightly shimmer texture, and apply from lashlines to browbones, blending well.

If you eyes are: Green

Try: Lavender and mocha. Purple shades contrast your color, making eyes look dramatic; warmer shades of mocha complement green, giving a natural effect. Wear mocha for day, lavender for night, and top both with brown mascara.

If you eyes are: Hazel

Try: Deep green and pale yellow. Depending on your mood, choose a shadow shade that matches different flecks in your eyes. For a twist, apply shadow, then line eyes with the same color, using a liner brush dipped in water.

Anyone-Can-Wear-'Em-Shades: Charcoal, chocolate, black. (Tip: Since they can look heavy on the lid, use these colors as liners to complement any shadow hue.)

To apply pencil liner precisely, gently pull the outer corner of your eyes so your lashes make a straight line. Angle the tip of the pencil toward your lashes and lightly draw from inner to outer corner.

I hope that works.

You have to practice allot. I've been using liquid eyeliner for 20 years. I always use the back of my hand to get the excess liquid off the tip, having to much on the tip is what causes problems,it's easier to get a staight line with less liquid. As you get better you can turn the corners up,just a little. You don't want to look like Cleopatra. Not such a thick line looks better also. Good luck

I wouldn't start your first day with liquid eyeliner. You're already nervous enough. Don't do something new the first day. Try it on the weekend and see how you like it. When you put it on make sure you use a thin line and then apply another thin line if you want it thicker. Also, lay your fingers against your eye to stable the eyeliner. Good luck.

I've never used liquid eyeliner, but I do use eyeliner. Just apply it lightly on the rim of the lid, like above the the eyelashes or right below. If this doesn't work, have your mom or a friend help.

Permanent Eyeliner
Eyeliner is the master key to shaping or reshaping the eye. Permanent eyeliner allow you to reshape the eye and stays on until you take it off. The proper permanent eyeliner accents the eye, changes its shape and size, and makes eyelashes appear thicker. Apply eyeliner skillfully to create the illusion of more evenly spaced eyes and a balanced face.

Liquid Eyeliner
Liquid eyeliner is best for creating harsh lines, dramatic looks and classic looks. You have a choice in how to apply eyeliner. Apply eyeliner in a very thin line right next to the eyelashes for a defining appeal or apply liquid eyeliner in a thick line for a bolder finish. Liquid eyeliner should be applied after eye shadow to prevent smudging.

Sharpening Your Eye Pencils
A simple way to sharpen your eye pencils is to make sure that you hold the sharpener where the shavings fall down. This keeps the sharpener from clogging and eating your pencil to a nub before it gets sharp.

Apply Eyeliner Carefully
Many women wonder how to apply eyeliner. For the top lid, use your non-dominant hand to pull the skin on the top of your eye taut, then apply eyeliner with your dominant hand. Rest your dominant hand against your face as you apply the eyeliner to help with control and support. For the bottom of you eye, again rest your dominant hand against your face to apply eyeliner and use the other hand to help keep the lower lid taut.

Apply Eyeliner in One Layer
Before applying liquid eyeliner, shake the tube horizontally then gently blow on the tapered eyeliner brush for 3 to 5 seconds. This will dry the liquid eyeliner and help it dry on your eye lid. Apply eyelinerstarting at the outside corner of your eye. With one continual stroke, place a layer of eyeliner on the bottom of the eye outside the lash line. Starting at the outside comer again, apply eyeliner in one layer to the top lid outside the lash line.

Lining
When lining your eyes only line on your eyelid and lower eye under the lashes. Some people line in the eye and that can lead to infections and damage to your eye. It also makes your eyes appear smaller.

Apply Eyeliner with Eyes Open
Some women struggle with how to apply eyeliner. Tilt your head back and look at the mirror with both eyes open. You'll get very close to your eyelash line. Use short feathery strokes instead of trying to draw one solid line. Applying eyeliner half way along the bottom lash line makes your eyes look rounder and more defined. Don't worry about a straight neat line. Smudge the line with a cotton swap or your finger so it's soft and natural looking.

Applying Eyeliner for Small Eyes
Start with a product that doesn´t run or smudge. Line in one direction - begin by placing your brush on the corner of the lower lid, underneath the eyelashes and move the color in one direction. Repeat this process for the top eyelid. Always line both the upper and lower lids for the best results.

Pull the eye taut and apply a thin line right above the eye. Dont apply below the eye. Also if you still have problems applying a straight line keep a q-tip soaked in eye make up remover near by and fix any errors.

Just stick to a pencil. Liquid eyeliner is way too hard and messy. If your looking for something that goes on smoothly, try the NYC brand. Works great.

I started using liquid eyeliner not too long ago, and I couldn't figure it out. My girlfriend taught me to use a pencil first (making thin lines of course) and then tracing over it w/ the liquid liner. I hope that helps. Eventually, the repeatedness will allow you to do it w/o the pencil.

good luck!

I kinda pull my eyelid from the outer corner in direction of my hairline so as that that's much less annoying to coach it. I initiate the line contained in the midsection-ish, and go out, and then do the interior. I initiate with skinny traces and get thicker to how i admire it. desire that facilitates....i comprehend I consistently used to have the toughest time with liquid eyeliner lol

I would try to stay away from the liquid eye liner but if you use it just take a q-tip and clean up the blotches.
